Measurement of the Planck constant at the
نویسندگان
چکیده
Researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have measured the value of the Planck constant to be h = 6.626 069 934(89)× 10−34J s (relative standard uncertainty 13 × 10−9). The result is based on over 10 000 weighings of masses with nominal values ranging from 0.5 kg to 2 kg with the Kibble balance NIST-4. The uncertainty has been reduced by more than twofold relative to a previous determination because of three factors: (1) a much larger data set than previously available, allowing a more realistic, and smaller, Type A evaluation; (2) a more comprehensive measurement of the back action of the weighing current on the magnet by weighing masses up to 2 kg, decreasing the uncertainty associated with magnet non-linearity; (3) a rigorous investigation of the dependence of the geometric factor on the coil velocity reducing the uncertainty assigned to time-dependent leakage of current in the coil.

Online Inertia Constant and Thévenin Equivalent Estimation Using PMU Data
In this paper a new algorithm based on phasor measurements for estimating the Thévenin Equivalent (TE) and system inertia constant is proposed. The method estimates the network TE seen from a generator terminal and equivalent system inertia constant by means of phasor data that is available at Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC) center. It is shown that the parameters of the TE could be estimated at...
متن کاملA method for bubble volume measurement under constant flow conditions in gas–liquid two-phase flow
Measuring the volume of a bubble, especially at its detachment, is a basic subject in gas-liquid two-phase flow research. A new indirect method for this measurement under constant flow conditions is presented. An electronic device is designed and constructed based on laser beam intensity. This device calculates the frequency of the bubble formation by measuring the total time of the formation p...
متن کاملDeterminism and the Gravitational Planck Constant
A discussion is given of the uncertainty principle in view of the introduction of a Gravitational Planck Constant. The need for such a gravitational constant is shown first. A reduced electromagnetic Planck constant and the analogous reduced gravitational Planck constant are defined as h/e and H/m respectively. An attempt is made to reconcile the quantum uncertainty concepts with a deterministi...
متن کاملExperimental Measurement and Kinetic Modeling of Ethane Gas Hydrate in the Presence of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Surfactant
Abstract: In this work, the kinetics of ethane hydrate formation has been studied experimentally and a kinetic model based on chemical affinity has been described for predicting the hydrate growth process in the stirred batch reactor at a constant volume. The experiments were done with both pure water and aqueous solution of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). The effect of SDS on formation kineti...
متن کاملNumerical Studies and Simulation of the Lower Hybrid Waves Current Drive by using Fokker – Planck Equation in NSST and HT-7 Tokamaks
Recent experiments on the spherical tokamak have discovered the conditions to create a powerful plasma and ensure easy shaping and amplification of stability, high bootstrap current and confinement energy. The spherical tours (ST) fusion energy development path is complementary to the tokamak burning plasma experiment such as NSTX and higher toroidal beta regimes and improves the design of a po...
متن کاملModeling of Nanofiltration for Concentrated Electrolyte Solutions using Linearized Transport Pore Model
In this study, linearized transport pore model (LTPM) is applied for modeling nanofiltration (NF) membrane separation process. This modeling approach is based on the modified extended Nernst-Planck equation enhanced by Debye-Huckel theory to take into account the variations of activity coefficient especially at high salt concentrations. Rejection of single-salt (NaCl) electrolyte is inve...
